At 4:41pm, Ward 6 Engine 7, Service 6 & 8, and Unit 901 with 11 firefighters responded to a mutual aid request from Beauregard Parish Fire District 1 for a structure fire in the Singer areaUpon arrival, the home was heavily involved with fire Firefighters assisted with suppression and water supply operations. DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department was also requested for an engine and manpower due to the high temperatures.

HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT was requested to move an engine company to Ward 6 Station 1 to provide coverage for Ward 6 and DeQuincy while we assisted at this fire.

Acadian Ambulance assisted withbmonitoring firefighters to prevent any heat related emergencies with firefighters.

There were no injuries to emergency responders or the occupants of the home.
