1:27pm, Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One was dispatched to a structure fire in the 1100 blk of Dunn Ferry Rd. HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT, Ward 1 Fire Department, and DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched as automatic aid.

Upon arrival of Unit 901 at approx 1:30pm, fire was observed venting from the windows and porch area on the west side of the structure. Crews conducted a transitional fire attack until the roof integrity was compromised.

Westlake Fire Department was requested for additional manpower. Acadian Ambulancw assisted with medical monitoring of the firefighters.

There were no occupants at the residence and it appears the structure was vacant.

All units cleared the incident and returned to stations at approx. 4:20pm.

Ward 5 Fire District and Sulphur Fire Dept. provided coverage for the DeQuincy, Ward 6, and Houston River Districts while we worked this call.
