One , and Beauregard Parish Fire District 2 joined together to conduct training tonight at the Calcasieu Emergency Response Training Center.

The dedicated volunteers from the departments practiced their skills at using ropes to raise and lower equipment on multi story buildings. Utilizing proper knots and being proficient on the fire ground are valuable skills each firefighter needs to know when responding to emergency incidents.

Firefighters also practiced interior fire attack on room and contents fires inside the fire training building. This provides each firefighter the knowledge of fire development, controlling flow paths, and extinguishment.

The community is blessed to have dedicated men and women that volunteer their time to serve the community.
