At 9:18 this morning, Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One responded to a reported structure fire in a doublewide mobile home on Kassy Lane.
Engines 7, 11, 19 and Service 8 responded. Upon our arrival, smoke was showing from the roof vents.
Firefighters made entry and found fire in one of the bedrooms. The fire was extinguished and the structure was ventilated.
Automatic aid was received from HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT and DeQuincy Volunteer Fire Department.
Occupants were able to escape the home and there were no injuries to anyone on scene.
