00 grant from Sempra Infrastructure for the purchase of a three sets of firefighter gear, along with an infrared drone. The turnout gear will provide protective clothing for Firefighters, while the drone will be utilized at hazardous materials incidents, wildfires and structure fires and will allow the department to view incidents from above so that strategies can be made for how incidents will be managed and resolved.

“Thank you to Sempra Infrastructure for providing this much needed grant so that the department can obtain the new gear and infrared drone to help protect the citizens and property within Ward 6 in Calcasieu Parish and also our surrounding mutual aid and automatic aid fire districts”, said Fire Chief Todd Parker.
