Several firefighters were acknowledged for their efforts as they work to provide protection for the Ward 6 Community in Calcasieu Parish.

FF Desiree Amrine was promoted from FF/Operator to Fire Lieutenant.

Board President Roy Arrant was acknowledged for his years serving the community of Ward 6 as a board member. Mr. Arrant is retiring from public service Dec. 31, 2024.

Pride, Teamwork, Excellence Award: Kirk Mullen - 4 IFSAC Certifications, Landon Kennon - 4 IFSAC Certifications, Sara McDaniel - 5 IFSAC Certifications, Tad McDaniel - 5 IFSAC Certifications.

Community Service Award: Lorraine Clark
