Ward Six Firefighters have been busy this Thanksgiving Day extinguishing a large brush and woods fire that threatened two homes on Stagecoach Lane in north Sulphur. It took 18 Firefighters from Ward Six & Houston River Fire Depts approximately 1 hour to bring the 10 acre fire under control. The fire spread from a pile of trash being burned by a property owner and flames came within 3 feet of catching one home on fire. Fortunately, there were no injuries to anyone on scene and no homes were lost.
