Fire departments throughout Calcasieu Parish took a few moments to recognize the service of Chief Jimmy Schexnayder, a district chief with Jefferson Parish Fire Department (33 years) and part-time recruit instructor with FETA, who took his final swing in Anderson in Houston.

Multiple departments displayed support and recognized his service by displaying flags and saluting the convoy that was bringing him home as it journeyed back to Jefferson Parish from Houston.
