At 5:39pm, Ward 6 Engine 11, Service 10, and Brush UTV 22 responded to a reported woods fire in the 400 blk of High Hope Rd
Upon arrival, fire was observed spreading along the east side of the railroad tracks

The area was accessible by UTV's. HOUSTON RIVER FIRE DEPARTMENT was requested to respond with a UTV and Brush truck. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire; however, with strong winds today it took a couple of hours to mop up the heavily wooded area to prevent future fires.
All Ward 6 and HRFD units were released at approx 8:30pm.
