Today the Ward Six Fire Protection District No. One 12.25 mill property tax millage renewal is on the ballot. This millage provides approximately 80% of the funding to operate the fire department.

The millage pays for maintenance of stations, apparatus, purchase of personal protective equipment, salaries for full time and part time staff, fuel, property insurance, etc.
