Firefighters participate in Emergency Response to Pipeline Emergencies at TEEX!

February 22, 2025

Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21 & 22, 2025, Firefighters from Ward 6, Calcasieu Emergency Response Training Center, and Carlyss Fire Dept joined firefighters from Louisinana, Mississippi, and Texas to attend two days of training sponsored by ExxonMobil Pipeline Company.

Training scenarios on Friday included responding to CO2 releases, decontamination of Emergency crews, control of hazardous materials released to water ways, flaring of damaged vessels, and incident command systems.

On Saturday, firefighters will participate in several live Fire scenarios involving industrial process simulations and storage tank fires with combustible hydrocarbon liquids.
